Henry George Butcher, the founder of Henry Butcher & Co., was born in the small town of Leighton Buzzard north of London; he died in 1939. Since the firm was founded, the Henry Butcher name has been synonymous with high quality auction and valuation services to industry - reflected in its status as market leader throughout the whole of the last century. The business is now part of the GoIndustry Group, one of the world's largest industrial asset sales and service organisations.
